This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how Avanti Décor Limited collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit avantidecor.ie, contact us, create an account, request a quotation, place an order, arrange delivery or installation, or otherwise deal with us.

1. Who we are

Avanti Décor Limited is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data, including your name, company name, billing and delivery address, Eircode, email address and telephone number.
  • Order and account data, including products, quotations, order history, delivery and installation details, account login details and communications about an order.
  • Payment and transaction data, including payment method, payment status, transaction references and refund information. Payments are processed by the selected payment provider. We do not normally receive or store complete card details.
  • Project and enquiry data, including messages, measurements, plans, photographs or other information you choose to provide for a quotation, design, delivery, installation or customer-support request.
  • Technical and usage data, including IP address, browser and device information, security logs, pages viewed, referral or order-attribution information and cookie preferences.
  • Marketing preferences, where you ask to receive marketing or otherwise provide a valid preference.

3. How we collect personal data

We collect data directly from you when you use our checkout, create or use an account, complete a form, contact us, request a quotation, place an order or work with us on a project. We also collect limited technical data automatically through our website, security tools, server logs and cookies. Payment providers, delivery partners and other service providers may send us transaction, delivery or fraud-prevention information necessary to complete an order.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Contract: to provide quotations, process orders and payments, manage accounts, arrange delivery or installation, provide customer service and handle returns, refunds or complaints.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records, comply with consumer and company law, respond to lawful requests and meet other statutory duties.
  • Legitimate interests: to protect our website and business, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain business records, improve our services, manage claims and establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We use this basis only where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: for optional cookies, certain embedded third-party content and electronic marketing where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. Who receives personal data

We share personal data only where reasonably necessary with service providers and recipients such as:

  • website, hosting, email, security and IT service providers, including services used to operate WordPress and WooCommerce;
  • payment providers and financial institutions, including Revolut, PayPal and banks, depending on the payment method selected;
  • couriers, delivery providers, installers, contractors and suppliers involved in fulfilling an order or project;
  • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and legal advisers;
  • public authorities, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law; and
  • a purchaser or adviser involved in a genuine business sale, merger or restructuring, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You may contact us for further information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

7. How long we retain data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax, warranty, insurance and dispute-resolution requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and the status of the order, account or project. We may retain transaction and invoice records for the period required by Irish law and keep information needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. When data is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely restrict it.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate essential website functions such as security, cookie preferences, customer login, shopping cart and checkout. These technologies may be used without consent where they are strictly necessary for a service you request.

Optional functional, analytics, performance or advertising technologies will be used only where they are enabled and, where required, after you provide consent. Payment providers may use necessary security or payment cookies when you select their services. Third-party content, such as Google Maps, may process your IP address and device information when you choose to load it.

You can accept, reject or manage optional cookies through the banner and change your decision at any time by selecting Cookie settings. Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent essential shopping and security functions from working. You can also control cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect the site.

9. Payment processing

Payment options may include bank transfer, Revolut payment methods, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and payment methods made available through those providers. The selected provider processes payment data under its own privacy information and security requirements. We normally receive confirmation, transaction references and limited account or payer details rather than complete card credentials.

10. Marketing communications

We will send electronic marketing only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Where marketing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may also object to direct marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe method in the communication or contacting us. Service messages about an order, payment, delivery or project are not marketing.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure or access. No website or transmission method is completely secure, so please use a strong unique password and contact us if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

12. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights are not absolute and legal or contractual record-keeping duties may apply.

To exercise a right, email info@avantidecor.ie. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required by data-protection law.

13. Complaints

Please contact us first if you have a concern so that we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. Information is available at dataprotection.ie.

14. Automated decisions and fraud checks

Avanti Décor does not ordinarily make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Payment or fraud-prevention providers may perform automated security checks under their own policies.

15. Children

Our website and products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data through the website without an appropriate lawful basis or the involvement of a parent or guardian where required.

16. Third-party websites and content

Our website may link to or display services operated by third parties. Their processing is governed by their own privacy information. Please review it before providing data or loading optional third-party content.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated by another appropriate method.

18. Contact us
